Obama Education Secretary Affirms Arts as 'Core Academic Subject' - Dana Foundation

On the inaugural day of Little-ones In Media and Arts, the President affirms that what we are doing, now, more than ever, is necessary. Art nurtures and sustains abstract thought, without which, there would be on invention, no innovation.

As Einstein said, "Immagination is more important than knowledge."

L.I.M.A. | Starting Enrollment

Free Arts Programs for Lima, Ohio!

We are currently signing up students for our free arts program. For guitar we're looking for students in 7th and 8th grades; for Dance, we're looking for students in 5th and 6th grades;and for creative writing, we're accepting students in 7th & 8th grades. To sign your middle school student up for available slots head on over to our
the Connected Hands website. Since we are not quite sure what turn-out to expect, we are taking students on a first-come first-served basis. However, that doesn't mean we are necessarily turning students away. If you don't see an open slot for the program you would like your student to participate in, please email me at dkellermeyer@connectedhands.org and we will try and make accommodations for you.

To sign up as a volunteer, you can also mosey on over to our the CHHO website, where you will find a link to sign up. If you don't see your area of expertise, please do not be discouraged, we want to make a space for you--send me an email at dkellermeyer@connectedhands.org.

Remember, the amount of students we can serve depends on the amount of volunteers we have. If you or someone you know has the ability to teach in the arts, contact us.
